Razer Axon Artist Spotlight: Nina Nayko Brings the Night Lights of Tbilisi to Life

Razer Axon welcomes Nina Nayko, a Georgian photographer and content creator who turns still photographs into living, animated scenes. Nayko uses photography along with photo and video editing to capture the quiet glow of Tbilisi after dark along with the stories behind every lit window. This spotlight explores how a lifelong passion for capturing everyday details led to a first photography exhibition, a debut collection on Razer Axon, and a personal perspective on staying true to one’s artistic vision in the age of digital creation.

From Everyday Details to Living Photographs

Nayko has been photographing since the age of 13. “I always saw interesting details in my everyday surroundings, and I really wanted others to see it too,” Nayko says. Those first photos went to family and friends, then to social media, where they reached a much wider audience.

Over time, the photos became a starting point for something more. Nayko began animating the images to make them more dynamic, adding scenes inspired by her imagination. Color conveys emotion, with each image capturing what Nayko felt in the moment or the atmosphere she wanted to capture. “I like to make something out of nothing,” Nayko shares. “Anyone is free to interpret my work as they like, as long as it makes the viewer feel something.”

Nayko’s ability to capture the city’s atmosphere has resonated with many, encouraging them to view their surroundings from a fresh perspective.  While most of Nayko’s work is shared on social media, her first photo exhibition gave her the opportunity to meet longtime online followers in-person.  “I was happy to meet them, and they were happy to see my work on a bigger scale!” says Nayko.

City Lights: Every Spark Tells a Story

Nayko’s debut collection on Razer Axon, City Lights, is a tribute to Tbilisi and its architecture. “Even though sometimes it’s all gray, it still has its own unique atmosphere that I love to capture. I like to see it a bit differently… noticing all the lively lights and people staying up at late night.”

Each glowing window and streetlight means something. To Nayko, each light represents a life unfolding somewhere in the city, capturing fleeting moments worth preserving. Through subtle motion and light, her wallpapers bring Tbilisi’s evening glow to the desktop, offering a little company to anyone else still awake.

Art Over Numbers: Staying True in the Creator Era

Like many working artists today, Nayko balances making art with bring a digital creator. “Nowadays if you’re an artist who wants to share their artwork with the world and be able to work, you have to also become a content creator. The challenge is to always stay true to yourself as an artist, focusing on the art itself rather than performance metrics, ” she says.

Nayko is also candid about burnout, which she recognises when the joy of creating begins to fade and the quality of her work suffers. For her, the key is to be patient with the creative process and allow inspiration to return naturally. “It’s okay to sometimes pause and wait for the right moment of inspiration, as long as you like what you do it’s possible to overcome everything, without numbers affecting you and your artwork,” she says.

Why Razer Axon?

For Nayko, the draw is both the platform and its community. “Razer Axon is a platform that supports artists like me and has an active community which I look forward to join and interact with. I’d love to show my work and my city to many new people. I feel that my style could really resonate with Razer’s community, both visually and in spirit, with its colorful lights and the shared experience of staying up late playing video games.”

What’s Next?

Staying true to her creative philosophy, Nayko plans to release more work when it feels ready rather than following a fixed schedule. She hopes to create more wallpapers as she finds images that translate well across different screen sizes and formats. For Nayko, each release is an opportunity to share work she feels confident will look its best on any display.
