RAZER SYNAPSE LOG COLLECTOR – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
User acceptance and Purpose Limitation That you are submitting a system log file to Razer pursuant to your request for technical support and assistance; That Razer may process the data contained therein for the purpose of providing technical support; That you have the right not to submit the log file requested and/or object to its processing, but this will impair Razer’s ability to assess your situation and/or assist you effectively. - Right to Process
For support related to Razer's guarantee: Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as this processing is necessary for the performance of our contract. For support related to legal/statutory warranty: Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, as this processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which Razer is subject. That its purpose is for troubleshooting and technical assistance made at your request and/or pursuant to warranty. That Razer will only collect and process the data inside the log files necessary for resolving the specific technical issue. Such log files received by Razer will be retained for no longer than 6 months after the support ticket is closed unless a longer retention period is required to comply with our legal obligations or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Data Security and Confidentiality That you may be assured that Razer treats log files received as confidential information and has the appropriate security measures. Razer employs industry-standard security measures to protect your log files from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and/or destruction. Access to log files is strictly limited to authorized personnel for the sole purpose of providing technical support. - Data Transfer
Your log file data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Such transfers are necessary for the performance of our contract with you or to comply with our legal obligations. When transfers occur, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, to ensure your data is protected to standards equivalent to those in the EEA. - Third-Party Disclosure
We do not share your log files with third parties except where necessary to resolve your technical issue (e.g., with the software vendor of a specific component). In such cases, only relevant, non-personal data will be shared. - Data Processing Details
Log files may be analyzed using automated tools and reviewed by our support team. While we may use automated tools to analyze log files, we do not make any decisions solely based on automated processing that would produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you. We may extract relevant information to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Our log files typically contain:
System and application data States and event logs Error logs and debugging information Pseudonymized identifiers (e.g., Razer ID, session ID)

When uploading log files, please ensure you remove or redact any personal data not relevant to the technical issue. If you are unsure, please contact our support team for guidance on how to safely prepare your logs. Only log data necessary for troubleshooting the specific technical issue will be processed. - Right to Erasure
As a data subject, you have the right to access, rectify, and restrict processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to erase your data or object to its processing, depending on the specific circumstances and legal basis of the processing.
