In competitive play, board size can shape how you set up and play. A 60% layout leaves more room for wide mouse movements while keeping the keyboard compact enough to pack for LANs and tournaments.
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini already brings the analog optical control of the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro line to this smaller form factor. Now, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz takes the next step with true 8000 Hz HyperPolling and the full Advanced Input Control suite, giving competitive players more speed and control without giving up the compact layout.

What Does 8000 Hz HyperPolling Do?
Every keypress has to make its way from the keyboard to your PC. Polling rate determines how often the keyboard checks in to report those inputs.
A standard 1000 Hz keyboard can report up to 1,000 times per second. At 8000 Hz, that jumps to up to 8,000 reports per second, reducing the interval between reports from 1 ms to 0.125 ms. The difference is small on paper, but competitive play is full of inputs happening fractions of a second apart.
On the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz, Razer testing recorded an average latency of 0.48 ms from switch actuation to signal receipt at the host USB port. That higher report rate helps each input reach the PC sooner, especially when movement and other commands are coming in rapid succession.
The 8000 Hz polling rate also unlocks the full Advanced Input Control suite, including Razer Snap Flex, Razer Snap Tap, Dynamic Keystroke, and Dual-Keypress Priority. These features give you more control over how overlapping and consecutive inputs are handled, whether you are changing direction, counter-strafing, or managing several commands in quick succession.
But polling is only one half of that equation. The other is what happens underneath your fingers.

Control Starts at the Switch
Razer Analog Optical Switches Gen-2 sit at the heart of the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz, with Rapid Trigger and a fully adjustable actuation range from 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm.
That range lets you decide how sensitive individual keys should feel. In an FPS, you might set movement keys to a shorter actuation point so they respond with less travel, while giving other commands a deeper actuation point to help avoid accidental presses.
Rapid Trigger gives you more control over what happens when you release a key. Instead of waiting for the switch to return to a fixed reset point, the key resets as you lift it. That allows it to register again sooner, useful when you are switching directions quickly or repeating the same movement input.
The switches are factory calibrated for true 0.1 mm precision and rated for 100 million keystrokes. Each is also individually lubricated and paired with a thick foam dampening layer, helping the keyboard feel and sound more refined when the pace slows down between matches.

Making the Most of a 60% Layout
All of that control still has to fit inside a much smaller board.
A 60% layout drops the dedicated function row, navigation cluster, and numpad, opening up more space for your mouse. That matters most for lower-sensitivity players who need room for wider swipes, but the smaller footprint has another obvious advantage: there is simply less keyboard to carry when you move between setups.
Going smaller does mean finding smarter ways to keep useful controls within reach. Dual-purpose modifier keys double as four-way arrow keys when tapped, while actuation height and Rapid Trigger sensitivity can be adjusted directly from the keyboard.
Up to six profiles can be saved to onboard storage, so your preferred settings can move with the board instead of being rebuilt on every PC. Razer Synapse Web gives you another option when you need to make changes away from your main setup, with browser-based access to compatible settings without relying on a full desktop installation.
The physical build is made with that movement in mind too. A 5052 aluminum alloy top case adds rigidity to the compact frame, while textured doubleshot PBT keycaps are designed to resist shine and fading through repeated use.
Take Your Setup With You
A compact keyboard is easy to pack. A competitive keyboard is more useful when the setup you have spent time tuning can come with it.
With onboard profiles, direct keyboard adjustments, and browser-based configuration, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz makes it easier to keep your preferred actuation and Rapid Trigger settings consistent as you move between PCs, LANs, and tournaments.
That is where the 60% format and the new 8000 Hz polling rate come together. You get more room around the board, a smaller footprint to carry, and the same level of control expected from the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro line, now with Razer HyperPolling Technology and the full Advanced Input Control suite behind every input.
