With the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz, gamers can experience unprecedented speed with a keyboard that scans and reports all keystrokes at a blistering 8000 Hz polling rate. In theory, this translates to just 0.125 ms between actuation and signal registration. In practice, additional processing time from the keyboard’s printed circuit board (PCB) must be accounted for. At Razer, we’ve optimized this process to achieve a measured latency of just 0.58 ms, making the Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz up to 11% faster than the nearest competitor.

While the name Razer Analog Optical Switches Gen-2 remains unchanged, we’ve refined it even further by tightening manufacturing tolerances to ensure absolute consistency across every switch produced. This allows gamers to experience true 0.1 mm precision, exactly as intended.
In simpler terms, when you set the Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz to a 0.1 mm actuation, the key will actuate precisely when it’s pressed by a physical distance of 0.1 mm—no more, no less.
It might sound like a no-brainer, but the difference becomes clear when compared to other analog keyboards. Setting a 0.1 mm actuation on most competitors doesn’t actually mean it actuates at 0.1 mm. In many cases, those keyboards only begin registering input from 0.2 mm and beyond — far from ideal for competitive play.

For the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz, we had the opportunity to collaborate closely with Nikola “NiKo” Kovač — a legendary Counter-Strike icon, 10-time international champion, and the newest Team Razer member. During his visit to Razer SEA HQ, NiKo worked hand-in-hand with our engineers to fine-tune latency, keystroke feel, and overall performance.
More importantly, he provided invaluable feedback on sound and tactile feel — aspects that aren’t as easily quantified as polling rate or latency, but are just as critical to achieving perfection.
With his input, we examined every detail of the switch design and experimented with various sound-dampening foams within the chassis. The result is a keyboard with strategic lubrication applied within the switch enclosure and a thick, dense foam layer that enhances acoustics and delivers satisfyingly smooth keystrokes.
